ATU is finally getting to the bargaining table after an 8-month delay caused by the City’s HR department. Their delay solved nothing, proved nothing, everything’s the same except this:
Up to 20 regular members will be chosen to attend negotiations. You’ll be present as observers with no voice, but you’ll see and hear everything. Bargaining dates so far are Sept. 10, 23, 25, Oct. 01 & 09. Bargaining times are usually 9 am to 4 pm. Part days are OK.
To attend, you must:
- Be selected by the Negotiating Committee at its sole discretion.
- Be available on your personal time on the dates/times indicated. It has to be your off-day, off-hours, a vacation day, a trade day, but NOT booked off. If the City has to back-fill you with OT, they will have a legitimate complaint.
- Not be on STD, LTD or WCB.
- Agree to a few simple rules.
