We’ve had some discussion lately about surveys – why they’re out there, who benefits from them, who is consulted on their construction. To be sure, they all have a different impact for each of us. The City has one out there now called “The Employee Experience Survey” It is being conducted by the survey giant GLINT. This is a survey, conducted under a variety of titles, which the City asks us to complete every couple of years. You can find a link to it in your City gmail.

The Unions are well aware of it and have been consulted on its content and intent. We are satisfied that the information gleaned from it will be used to identify way and means of improving the workplace experience. We are also satisfied that the survey information is secure and can’t be used to link any individual to any comment.

The Union recommends that you take a few minutes to complete this survey. It is your opportunity to let them know exactly what it’s like to come to work every day, what works well and what’s not working at all. So, be frank about it. Tell them what’s on your mind and how they can do better.
