Voting details for ETS Main ratification vote on June 09, 2020

The vote will be held at the following locations and times:

• Kathleen Andrews Division 0400 to 1900
• Ferrier Division 0400 to 1900
• Mitchell Division 0400 to 1900
• Centennial Division 0400 to 1900
• D.L. MacDonald Division 0400 to 1000 and 1600 to 1900
• Edmonton Tower 1300 to 1400
• Control 1415 to 1630
• Davies 0700 to 0730
• Ellerslie 0930 to 1100
• Paterson 1430 to 1630
• Union Hall (North entrance) 0800 to 1900

We are voting on a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signed by the Negotiating Committees of both the Union and the City. In signing the MOA, both parties agree to recommend the deal to their respective Principles. A synopsis of the agreement is attached to this communique here. Your committee bargained hard and with intelligence and commitment. We believe that this is the best deal available at this time. We recommend a yes vote.

All active members employed at the City of Edmonton EXCEPT DATS MEMBERS are entitled to vote. This includes members on temporary layoff. Access to the Divisions for voting can be gained by buzzing Dispatch or just by following someone else into the building. There will also be a ballot box available at the Union Hall all day long until 7 o’clock.

Please remember to have a pen with you as the polling staff will ask you to use your own. The physical distancing protocol remains in effect and all voters are expected to keep the 2 metre distance from each other. Hand sanitizer will be available and all implements will be disinfected regularly. The last thing we need is to have an outbreak at a Transit Division while fulfilling our democratic duty to vote.

We need a good turnout for this vote. It has been a long time coming and the more people who vote, the stronger the mandate will be. Please take a minute and support your Union with your vote.
