The LTD Advisory Committee and the ATU Local 569 met to review the ATU LTD fund actuarial report for the year ended December 31, 2018.

Due to a significant increase in Members who have gone onto the Long-Term Disability Plan (ATU Local 569 Members of 137 currently on the plan) over the past few years, the Union is left with no other choice but to increase LTD premiums from the current rate of 2.50% to 3.25%.

This has been a common trend across the City and other Unions are being forced to increase their premiums.

It is our hope that this increase will help maintain a healthy Rate Stabilization Fund and there will be no increases in the future.
