Last Sunday, the Negotiating Team met with members of the Red Deer bargaining Unit. It was their negotiations update. And, regrettably, the message was no better there than it is in Edmonton. Negotiations there are at an impasse, too. In response to a vote of the membership, we today filed an application for mediation. And that means that in 2 of our 4 bargaining units, we are in mediation against an implacable employer.

It makes me proud to be part of a group of people who are clearly willing to take a stand and demand power to shape their future and that of their families!
