On Wednesday, Steve Bradshaw and Jerry Gill met with Federal NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh and MPs Heather McPherson and Blake DesJarlais. Discussions centered on the high need for Ottawa to step into the difficult problem of disorder on our Transit Systems. We also spoke about the need for federal operational funding for transit systems nation wide and the injustice of dumping the entire burden on municipalities.

A federal election could be coming as early as next year and Singh was in town to attend the Edmonton Strathcona nomination meeting where Heather McPherson was acclaimed to run for a third term.
