On September 07, next Wednesday, City Administration will deliver its report on implementation of Phase one of the Regional Transit initiative to Executive Committee of City Council. ATU has worked long and hard to fight this fatally flawed plan and not just because it isn’t good for workers. It’s a disaster for riders and the city itself, too. That’s why we wrote the attached  OP-ED to the Edmonton Journal, which they’ve declined to publish so far. It will appear in David Climenhaga’s podcast tomorrow or Saturday, but here it is for you. Please have a read of it and share it far and wide. This is NOT a good plan for Edmonton. It’s NOT good for Transit workers. It’s NOT good for City Council. It needs to go down and ATU will be at Exec Committee in force to speak our truth loud and clear to the powers.
